Definition of Email Marketing

A type of Direct Digital Marketing that uses Electronic Mail (also called email or e-mail) as the marketing communication delivery method.

Email Marketing is used in a number of ways by organizations and marketers for brand and customer loyalty building, acquiring or converting customers, company advertisements, or for communicating promotional offers and more.

Mobile Email Marketing

Mobile Email Marketing now develops large amounts of traffic through smartphones and tablets. The explosion of iPhone, Android, and tablet devices means that businesses must adopt a "mobile-first" mentality - or risk losing the clicks, opens, and conversions that deliver revenue back to the business. In 2015, people are using their mobile devices more frequently, and for longer, than their desktop computers. In fact, in the last 4 years alone smartphone usage has increased 394 %, and tablet usage is up a whopping 1,721 %. With mobile usage growing every day, more and more people are viewing your email campaigns on mobile devices, and with 53% of email campaigns being opened on a mobile device, email with mobile-friendly design is no longer a nice to have, it's a must have.

Transactional Emails

Transactional emails are usually triggered based on a customer's action with a company. The primary purpose of a transactional email is to convey information regarding the action that triggered it. But, due to its high open rates (51.3% compared to 36.6% for email newsletters), transactional emails are an opportunity to engage customers:
i.) To introduce or extend the email relationship with customers or subscribers.
ii.) To anticipate and answer questions.
iii.) To cross-sell or up-sell products or services.
Emailer offer transactional email support, which gives our customers the ability to include promotional messages within the body of transactional emails. Emailer also offer specialized transactional email marketing services, which include providing targeted and personalized transactional email messages and running specific marketing campaigns (such as customer referral programs).

Direct Email Marketing

Direct email marketing is a format for email-based campaigns in which standalone advertisements are sent to a targeted list of recipients. The messages, which may be text, HTML, or rich media, look like Web-based ads rather than typical email messages. With Emailer, direct email marketing messages include a mechanism that is able to provide our customers with the following information:
i.) To introduce or extend the email relationship with customers or subscribers.
i) feedback on the effectiveness of a campaign,
ii.) by making it possible to track metrics such as the number of messages that were opened,
iii.) the number of clicks that were generated from a message,
iv.) the number of recipients that requested removal from the sender's list,
v.) and the number of messages that were bounced by the recipient's server.
